Bootsect Zip Usb_prep8 Pe To Usb Download Free
Hello All,Not sure which forum to try, so I started here.I have created a bootable usb stick using diskpart to format the drive and then adding the winpe image to it using the windows aik. The diskpart commands that I run are below. I noticethat before formatting my USB Stick, it is listed in the BIOS as a USB-ZIP0 device (a 'Removable' device).
After formatting it is listed in the BIOS as USB-HDD0 (A USB Hard Drive?). I am trying to figure out a way to make it bootable but still have itappear as a USB-ZIP0 in the BIOS. Any help would be appreciatedDiskpart commands:SELECT DISK 1CLEANCREATE PARTITION PRIMARYSELECT PARTITION 1ACTIVEFORMAT FS=FAT32ASSIGNEXIT. It only had an option for USB-HDD. Thanks for input.

There were no errors. The stick formats and boots fine. Its just listed in the BIOS as USB-HDD. I want it to be listed as a removable device (USB-ZIP).

Just curious, why after booting and loading your image you are wanting the USB device to not show up in the bios as usb-hdd?When it shows up as usb-hdd I have to manually go into the BIOS and move it to the top of the boot priority list to boot from it (It disappears from the list everytime I unplug it and boot again, so when I plug it back in it reappears but by default its belowthat regular hard drive). If it shows as USB-ZIP I can just set the generic 'removable device' as the first boot item and it will automatically boot when I decide to plug it in.
